Rodrick McDonald of St. Louis, earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri S&T in 2007. A four-year letter winner in both football and track and field, McDonald was a four-year starter at safety on the football team and won several conference honors in the MIAA and GLVC. He was selected to play in the 2006 Whataburger Senior Cactus Bowl, which then represented the best senior players in NCAA Division II. McDonald set multiple school records in track and field, including the 100-meter, 200-meter, 4×100-meter relay, and he won the 100-meter conference champion his senior season – a record that still stands. McDonald was team captain for three seasons, and was named the men’s outdoor team most valuable player in 2005 and 2006. McDonald is a section manager in the construction division of Burns & McDonnell where he leads projects in multiple markets.
